Tumi Musiq (Boitumelo Tshabalala) has released “Many Phases,” featuring Pfunzo Strings, AJ SafeSax, and Sai Mabaso. It came out on August 7, 2026, through Sound African Recordings, a division of Sony Music Entertainment Africa. Snippets had been circulating online before the official drop.
The track skips the usual heavy log-drum sound for a softer private school piano style. Pfunzo Strings and AJ SafeSax add live-instrument touches, while Sai Mabaso rounds out the production. It’s a calm, well-put-together record, good for quiet listening rather than the dancefloor.
